Only Florida Residents who are U.S. citizens or permanent residents are eligible.
The application deadline is Monday, March 6, 2017, at 12:00 p.m. (noon) Eastern Standard Time.

REQUIREMENTS FOR APPLICATIONS
- Three reference letters (two of them from teachers/professors)
- Verification of acceptance or enrollment at an accredited college/university
- Academic transcripts for immediate prior 3-year period
- Proof of legal Florida residency (Florida Driver License or state issued I.D. card. No P.O. Boxes will be accepted.)
The Florida Realtors Education Foundation is a Florida not for profit corporation. Its purpose is to provide real estate related educational scholarships and grants. The Student Scholarship Program is available to the following types of applicants:
1.Florida High School seniors who will be attending an undergraduate College or University,
2.Students currently enrolled in an undergraduate College or University, and
3.Students pursuing graduate studies.
Those students considering a career in Real Estate or Real Estate related fields will be given special consideration in accordance with the purposes of the Florida Realtors® Education Foundation. Students in any major outside of Real Estate are welcome to apply.
There will be no limitations as to location of the College or University attended, provided the applicant indicates their intent to return to work in Florida after graduation.
Applicants will be judged on the following criteria:
- Academic Standing
- Financial Need
- Family member who is connected to the Realtors, i.e., Realtor, Realtor Association Staff, Association Affiliate Members, etc.
- Community Involvement
- Evidence of Leadership Qualities
All decisions as to whether or not an applicant qualifies will be at the sole and absolute discretion of the Foundation’s Board of Directors.
An applicant is eligible to receive one scholarship award per 12 month period, up to a maximum of two scholarships. The scholarship award check will be sent directly to the College or University, which must be accredited by the appropriate accrediting bodies.
The recipients will be announced by phone, at the end of April.
Scholarships winners will be able to apply the funds for the Academic Year 2017 – 2018, and shall not be applicable to any semester which begins prior to June 2017.
Scholarships winners must complete the Financial Aid Form and claim funds from the Florida Realtors Education Foundation no later than July 21, 2017, or the scholarship will be revoked.
